Welcome to Shoofly Pie Company!

We are a small family owned bakery providing handmade pies, tarts and quiches to wonderful West Seattle and beyond!  We make everything from scratch, right down the the whipped cream!  We believe in only using the best ingredients and in baking our pies in small batches to maintain quality and yummyness.

We feature an all-butter handmade crust and use only all-natural ingredients and never any preservatives.  We make "anything in a crust" and strive to provide the highest quality products for our customers. 

Our pies are as close to homemade as you can get (other than, well, making them at home!) - from the amount of high quality fruit in our blackberry/raspberry (the pie weighs almost 3 pounds!) to the amount of time and love we give each one.  Come on in and maybe you'll catch one of us making your pie!

We offer coffee by Batdorf & Bronson (Olympia, WA), tea by David Rio Teas (San Francisco, CA), as well as Izze Sparkling Juice and San Pellegrino.  Since we really love all natural products to go along with our all natural pies, we only feature drinks made with real sugar instead of corn syrup or artificial sweeteners.

Shoofly Pie Company began in 2004 with a single strawberry-rhubarb pie baking in the oven of the Ballard apartment shared by Kimmy Hsieh Tomlinson and her husband, Zak. Kimmy fell in love with the art and science of baking, and the beautiful simplicity and rustic quality of a good, all natural, handmade pie. She started sharing this with friends and family, and soon the dreams of opening a small retail bakery were born. 

Kimmy and Zak moved to West Seattle in 2005 and loved the community they found there.  They decided that it would be the perfect place to begin their family...and their pie company.  

      After much hard work and personally renovating a wonderful little building in the Alaska Junction of West Seattle, we opened our doors in July of 2007 during the West Seattle Streetfair. Each year we feel fortunate to celebrate our birthday with the entire West Seattle Community!
